Tons of people are getting older by themselves or in a couple, but no kids. At some point many of us will be solo agers. My latest @npr.org story looks at how the rise of solo agers can help society adjust to them/us - not the other way round: https://www.npr.org/2026/07/09/nx-s1-5886348/solo-agers-demographics-caregiving-family-aging

One of the reasons #Mecicaid can be so confusing is it’s not always called by its name - states use names like ‘Health Plus’ so people on it don’t recognise upcoming cuts will affect them #HJ26 @healthjournalism.org

Every freelancer knows you have to build a brand but until today I'd never heard anyone advise that we need to re-visit what that brand is every 3 months. Makes sense in our fast-moving world but boy does it take a lot of energy to keep on top of all this. #freelancing @asjahq.bsky.social

Does anyone have a crazy or surprising story of having shingles they'd care to share with a journalist (me)? I had a horrible case almost the minute I turned 50 and was absolutely not expecting to get hit until much later in life.
